Profile |
Paul Richardson has been a player and a Manager at Sunday League level. As manager he took his club to two cup finals and an appearance on national Television BBC1's "What ever you Want". He has also headed up a committee which organised a football tournament involving 8 Teams from around Europe. These skills made him the ideal choice as chairman. Jo – New LIfe Manager Paul was deemed the ideal candidate to Chair New Life United due to his wealth of experience in football. After personally meeting him I found him a excellent people person he offered the right amount of professionalism, charm and insight. It was a easy choice to offer Paul the position given his love for football. Due to Paul’s resent ill health it is understandable that he has not been able to do as much for New Life as he would have wanted. With that said we have been very pleased with Paul’s endeavour. Much of his unseen work is evident on this web site. His constant behind the scenes planning and organising has freed up much of my time to concentrate on managing the team, something I am most grateful for. During October and November Paul offered his time and support to assisted New Life end a run of six straight loses. His presence reassured the players just like a loving God Father that everything will be alright. We look forward to the New season and to Mr Richardson leadership. Nicky - Club Secretary Á Club Captain I’ve known Paul through family for about 15 years now. My best memorys of Paul were playing for Dunctan Athletic and to this day both Dan and I would say we have never played under a better captain. A True leader- I hope I have taken some of the qualitys I learned from him into my role as skipper for new Life United. The birth of New Life saw us split with two former chairman in acrimonious circumstances within the period of about half a year. The team were in place, the body and heart of New Life were there,,but not the mind. We needed somebody to understand – and help us oversee what we are building here and to help relieve some of the pressure from Jo and I and Paul was the perfect candidate. The main reason being that he LOVES football and seeing how he was no longer playing – this just made sense to complete Pauls CV of player-manager-Director. We feel extremely lucky to have Paul on board. Since his appointment we now have a board in place , regular meetings , a New Life bank account , sponsorship and we are on the path to achieving our short term goals of becoming a chartered standard club fully recognised by the F.A. . Paul also recognises the bigger ambitions in our hearts – to build something that can last – add value to peoples lifes and something that we can all be proud of . Even through the operations and pain - Paul was working on sponsorship and the website from his hospital bed . We Love this club so much,,that to find a chairman that feels the same , and passionately so, Has been a true God Send. Thank you Paul. We look forward to the years ahead with your words ringing in our head ‘The cup final and promotion was not the Pinnacle of The New Life Story It was the intro’ |
